Transmission noise!!,Please HELP!

So I decide to go to the drag strip last week and lets just say I missed some gears every once and a while and spun like crazy on take off.

The next morning, I start driving and I hear a whining noise when I accelerate. I hear it mostly during second gear and when I go up in speed, once I change into 3rd the noise goes down in pitch but does not go away????? Can anyone help me figure this out:/ I Drive a 2008 cobalt ss tc if that helps.

If it is a transmission problem do you think a chevy dealer ship would cover it? i have 65k and zero mods done to my car other than stance coils. Thanks allot for your help

Bump, Hope someone can give me some input on this:/ i'm really worried it might cost me a pretty penny to fix.

why would the warrantee it? You're over on both time and miles. Unless you have an extended warrantee?

Yea no extended warranty, I just read somewhere that they could possibly covered it under the 100k mile power-train warranty. But idk I just read around lol

Noting worn with asking them. Some parts fail. Sounds like a bearing went bad in the tranny. I would call customer service first to start a file that way Chevy is involved over it being just that dealer

First off

Is this a G85 car? If so your differential will be loud in 1st and 2nd, at least mine is. Does it shift fine?

What other problems other than a whine? If yours is a 2008 its a good chance you are out of powertrain anyway, mine was up in August and i Have 78k miles.
