Transmission Options: Cobalt SS

Does anyone have info on which transmissions will bolt up to our car other than the f35. Cheapest transmission from a junkyard i could find was 1300. thats with the lsd. Maybe ill call tomarrow and find out prices on nonlsd. Anyways what about a company making any stronger 3rd gears for us? What about cryo treatment? Anyone tried this? Anyone know a good company we can get cryo treated gears from for our car? Third gear is obviously our weakspot and i dont want this to happen again. I f'n tried to take out a 10g student loan today but it got denied! i was going to straight up go with the quaife 6spd w/ lsd.

Reminder- my tranny is completely blown. WHen i get my tranny back, what options do i have to make this thing stronger. I want this new tranny to be unstoppable. Well as long as it fits my budget. Thanks in advance to anyone who chimes in!

The only other gear set that I know of is the quaife 6-speed conversion. I'd assume since the Quaife LSD is one tough unit, that the gears would keep that reputation.

Email Quaife and ask them if their gears are any stronger than stock and if there is anything else that can be done to strengthen the tranny.

spur cut gears will hold up great to shock loads, but will scream like a red headed step child.

Yes, F40. Myself and another member on here were looking into doing this swap down the road. However I don't think its a stright up swap.
