Transmission question

Need some help here guys.

I sold an 07 Cobalt SS to one of my friends. It has only been a couple of weeks and he blew the G85 code LSD trans into 100 pieces.

We are having a LOT of trouble locating one for the money he has and I was wondering if we could put a non limited slip trans into his car. For example are there sensor differences? Would it bolt up?

When looking on junkyard websites there are lots of Cobalt SS non G85 transmissions, but very few LSD units. The lowest dollar one I can find is $1700. The other non G85 ones are $600.

Please advise his best option. He would just be driving around on the substitute trans temporarily until he could afford/find an LSD unit.

THANKS!

Yes you can bolt it up and drive. Just gonna do 1 wheel burnouts when the time comes. No harm.
I am selling a non lsd trans for 400$ actually.
I also have a lsd trans 3.82 FD for 800 with 68k miles.
The issue is I'm in NJ. So pick up

Luis- I shipped a trans from central Indiana to southern Oklahoma for $135 through ups. Just made a crate out of osb and 1"x2's. As an option.
