Yes, you're right. Just got a little confused there. The thread pitch is in fact a TWM secret however we do provide each customer with the correct adapter for their vehicle/short shifter application. Our shift knobs are threaded universally so you can reuse them if you ever decide to switch cars or whatnot. All you need to do is send us an email (sales@twmperformance.com) stating what vehicle you need a new insert kit for and we'll place your order to ship you brand new and properly fitting inserts for the desired application

So if I need to use one of these, on your TWM shifter, I can't get the pitch info (obv. one of the 3)-
TWM Performance Shifter Extender - Shifter Extenders Kits

So top secret like!

Hey everyone, we aren't talking about our shaft thread pitch or the thread pitch of our knob inserts, we're talking about the thread pitch on the INSIDE of the shift knob. This is information that we choose not to give away. As for the thread pitch of your insert kit and shift shaft, that is pretty well out in the open! PM me if you have any questions

ok i assumed thats what the OP was looking for, so the 12X1.25 is the Shaft Thread. Not sure on what TWM uses as an Inside Thread size for there own knobs

Bringing this back from the dead.

I have a TWM setup and hate the aluminum shift knob. Their knobs are way overpriced so I bought another from somewhere else. Based off this advice in this thread I got one with a thread pitch of 12x1.25. Either my knob I bought is incorrectly sized or that isn't the shaft pitch. Anyone know for sure what the thread is?

For anyone looking for this answer in the future.... And seeing how TWM appears to be out of business now....

The thread size for the TWM shifter shaft itself is m10 x 1.25

The thread size for the m1 abrams knob that comes with it (and the adapter for it) is 3/4 - 16
