So just got my trans in but it doesnt go in reverse and it gets stuck in first gear. I noticed it leaked a lot of fluid so I got it up on the jack and noticed this

What is missing here. Also I took this bolt off the old trans and tried putting it on this one but it seems something is jammed in that hole. Any help with what is in that hole and how to move it?

 

that would likely be a guide bolt or retainer bolt for the shift rail, or else a shift rail detent. i havent built an f35, but in most manual transmissions thats something you have to install while having everything lined up when your assembling the transmission.

 

So am I screwed. I cant move this without the trans being opened?
