is it possible to swap a vibe awd rear in the rear of a cobalt i want more traction?

 

You would then need to use the Vibe or Matrix AWD tranny which I happen to be VERY familiar with those cars and can tell you the AWD tranny will literally explode over 180-190whp LOL!

no. the vibe uses toyota drive train and chassis. The cobalt doesnt have a transfercase for a drive shaft to the rear. So you'd have to swap a crap load of stuff to get an awd cobalt. You'd probably be better off trying an astra or some open/vuax car from europe.

For more traction there are plenty of things available at a much cheaper price than the option above.

suspension (springs/shocks)
steering rack spacers
motor and trans mounts (rotated engine mount)
torq damper
new control arms
bushings
tires...
driver mod
