Weird clutch problems? Insight please..
Hey everyone,
I have a few different symptoms/problems with my clutch (I believe), and was hoping if anyone could give some advice on what the problem may be. I'm just gonna do it in a list style:
- If I'm in neutral, and rev it up to redline (or any higher RPM), the RPMs come down the surge back up, then the car won't go immediately into gear. It may take a few seconds to let me get in gear, and while I was driving the other day I revved for my friend while we were at a light and it wouldn't go into gear for almost a minute. Felt like I wasn't even on the clutch pedal.
- Say I'm at a stop light, I get on it in 1st, shift to second and redline, go to 3rd, ect...when I go back to normal driving the clutch engage point goes from being at the top of the pedal (barely pushing it in) to being at the bottom near the floor. Like...I can push the pedal almost to the floor without it disengaging, then withing the last inch or two of pedal play it disengages. This only happens if I redline it in neutral or redline it through a gear (racing or just driving fast on the on-ramp)...after a few pumps of the clutch or a few seconds it goes back to normal.
- Sometimes when I go to get on it (redline) in first then shift to second, I go WOT and the car doesn't go any faster but the RPMs shoot to the redline.
Any help would be appreciated, also links/review to a new clutch if that's the problem would be kick-ass.
Thanks everyone.

Your slave cyl is dying and the clutch is dragging a bit from the sounds of it. When you do a clutch, put the LNF slave cyl in.
Don't neutral rev it, it's a waste anyway. Try going into second when it hangs up, then to 1st.
Your clutch is slipping, time for an upgrade.
