What am I?

I make a front-end noise that's a loud low octave, constant, that gets louder with speed.
One wheel bearing replaced 1.5 years ago with a Timken bearing.
The other bearing replaced two weeks ago and noise exists both before and after.
Sound not effected by turning the steering wheel, even on hard sharp turns.
Tires rotated diagonally, front corner to opposite rear corner, yet sound remains the same, coming from the front.
Sound is the same with the front wheel lifted up off the ground.
Sound remains when clutch is disengaged.
No shake, or rumble felt in the steering wheel.
No shake or wobble when brakes are pressed.
Noise just always there, and effected by speed.

Thoughts?

Umm. no, I wouldn't say that. Not sure how to exactly describe it, but when I think motorcycle I think like a "braght, braght, braght" sound. This is more constant, and becomes and the sound increases equally with the speed.

Umm, depends what you mean by dull. It's not sharp, like high frequency.
It's a low frequency sound, but it's loud enough that it's annoying when you drive, and can still be heard with the stereo on. Just not 100% on what it could be.
Read through lots of threads, but each thing people are looking for, to help determine if it's this or that, doesn't seems to eliminate it for likely being that, so not totally sure what it is.

Check the axle intermediate shaft bearing. Makes a very wheel bearing-ish sound when it fails but turning doesn't affect it.

How would one best go about checking this?
Besides putting the car up on blocks, and having someone press down on the gas, while I lay under the car?

Also, would you happen to have a part number handy by chance?

I guess it could be. Like driving behind a smaller motorcycle cruising down the highway on the highway sort of sound, yeah.

If the car is not moving and the sound remains when clutch is disengaged (disengaged = pedal depressed/pushed in) then that removes every possible cause from the transmission to the tires. The problem would be the TOB, clutch assembly, or engine.

Not sure I tried that one.
Tried on the road with tires moving disingaging the clutch.
Tried with the clutch engaged, and wheels off the ground.
Like I said already though, the sound is attached to the speed, and I mean speed, not RPM.

This sounds likely, but what's the best way to confirm this 100%?

~ A tumble weed blows through the room~

Welp, I'm pretty sure that's it. Sounds like that's where it's coming from, and seems logical. Guess I'll.see soon. Bearing and seal on the way.

Turned out to be one of my new Timken wheel bearings.
Lasted just over a year.
Glad I paid the extra money for a quality part......

Timken used to be my bearing of choice when I worked at a shop. But when I switched jobs 2 months ago, everything was already long going down the tubes in quality for almost all the parts you could get. Sometimes even the cheap **** outlasts the "premium" brands now, with no rhyme or reason as to what you're going to get.

Yeah, tried contacting Timken twice, via their web contact form, no response at all....
Luckily ZZP are going to warranty it, even though they said it's outside their warranty period. Not sure how long theirs is for this bearing, read on some sites life time warranty, 10 years, 3 years, but yeah, long ng story short, never again...
