What Trans fit an 08 SS LNF?

My transmission housing got busted open running over a rock (Ran over a rockslide I didn't notice on the road). The gear oil leaked out and who knows what is going on inside the transmission.

What transmissions will bolt-in easily? I hear the LSJ version will work, but I noticed there are differences in the the axleshafts. Mine had the OPT G85 with the LSD. Getting an exact replacement is a huge PITA since they're uncommon and all of the ones online are like 2K miles away from me.

What will need to be done to make a transmission from the 05-07 work? Also, will a clutch for the 05-07 work if I swapped in a transmission from that model?

I understand that the one I have is the MU3 and the MU2 is "just a difference in gearing". But is it really a simple bolt-on swap?

Also, are the mounts the same or different? I really want to do an upgrade to them since I had crazy wheel hop.

Just buy aftermarket rotated mount. Lnf Mount is better than the lsj.

Yeah I'm willing to shell out for the LSD. I live in a very rainy climate, so I want all the grip I can get. I've also gotten used to it, so a couple hundred dollars isn't too much for a nice addition.

I just really want to make sure I get the right parts. I am going to buy a new clutch kit and flywheel, as taking out the trans was a PITA and I am going to get as much done as possible while it's out.

What clutch should I get if I'm using the transmission from the LSJ engines? Will I need anything else (different starter, shift cables, axles etc...)
Thanks again!

Flywheel bolts, flywheel-luk from rock auto works from what I've heard, or a factory replacement from ZZP, gmpp clutch upgrade from crate engine depot, 2 quarts of factory fluid. Install new axel seals if it's a used trans, and you should be good. These parts are good ones for the money and will last a fairly long time.
