My tuner even told me he had never seen an SC with the temps I had. I used to have a TVS with a 2.8 pulley on it when he said that.

I am now going turbo. I think I am going to make a how to video on how to launch the car. Potenza's are really good tires. Even with bad track prep you should still net 2.2 or 2.1 60's. Also, stay in the dull lines at the track. That is a completely different topic though.
I only wish I could have the Canadian temps here in Texas. Hot summer day is 100+. Which means after small cruises through pits and idling waiting in staging lanes = high temps

[On a cooler day, I am just 10* above amb. Yesterday it was 47* amb and 52* iat2 cruising.

I did run a 2.2 with crappy track prep. I just know I can do better.

We have humidity though. That isn't good either. Do you run your car at the Dallas track?

Oh good heavens, which track? There are lots. North star, kennedale, red line, Motorplex, candle,....

We have occasional bad humidity days.

If I am not mistaken, though, it was too hot of a day for the track. Meaning track was likely peeling with oils floating to the top. I didn't bother to investigate the track that much but that is what happens when the ground is too warm.

Yeah, I I believe I put it on here but I was out running new camaros ss and Mustang gt's that weren't fi or not on street tires. It wasn't me. Everyone was complaining. The big cars left because of it.

When I ran my 14.0 the track was prepped nicely. I needed more seat time. I am now saving for a turbo setup and slicks.

I don't think they prep the tracks up here in Canada. At least not around my area.

They prep them, even on street nights. Watch videos and see how they stage. You don't want to be on the shinny areas. You want the dull groves. I'm sticking with my M62 even though I wish I could turbo.
