dyno today
Hey got the 08 ss/tc dyno'd today. Only mods are the airbox bod and tune from trifecta.
254WHP
306WTQ
24.1PSI boost
dyno was done on mustang dyno so from my calculation if it were done on a dynojet i would be at 284whp and 342wtq on just the tune. to vince for the tune and mike for loading it and datalogging it for me.
dyno high pull <a href="http://s774.photobucket.com/albums/yy28/tj21087/?action=view¤t=dynohigh.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy28/tj21087/th_dynohigh.jpg" border="0" alt="dyno high pull" ></a>
sheet with both pulls

I was thinking the same as you after doing the Mustang dyno (that the dynojet would be higher) so I made an appointment the same week to test it out (curiosity got the best of me), and like I said the numbers were almost the same.
best numbers on the Mustang were 279hp 300tq
best on the dynojet were 282hp and 312tq (we did like 6 pulls and most were between 280hp and 300tq)
But my point is, I would hold off testing it on a dynojet until there is a dyno day or something
Extra tidbit:
At the dyno day (Mustang dyno) I found out that the
stock Mustang gt500kr puts down 501hp
Stock STR8 Challenger was 382hp
Stock R/T Challenger was 352hp

If you were on our dyno jet, you would have read the same as our mustang. Why does everyone change their numbers with "if I do the math", they are numbers and your math will be wrong.
You have good numbers, there is nothing wrong with them that you need to "do the math" now you have a baseline for improvements. Nice work.

This is not a cut to anyone, but when the dyno spits out a number; its just that, a number. You use this as a tuning device. I don't understand why people go dyno, put down 200 hp then say yeah the dyno is low so I am making more like 225hp. NOOOO, you are making 200hp according to the dyno, period. It is a math based calculation on load or inertia vs acceleration in a nut shell, that does not change unless the dyno is not calibrated properly in which case the numbers dont count for anything.
When we have an engine on our superflow engine dyno for the IMCA's, Drag racers or anyone for that fact, and they put out 537 hp 455tq as an example, we sure dont say, yeah our dyno reads low so add 10%, or the water in the brake is green today so that eats up some of your power. The dyno says what the power is and we log the all the information, we make changes and do a pull, now what does it say? This is what the dyno is for. The same thing goes for a chassis dyno.
You dyno you get results, is your car quick, fast, are you happy?? That is what counts!!! You want to make changes and see if they improved performance or output, go back and dyno, now you know. Go to the racetrack and get some trap speeds, that will tell you. In the end if your happy with your car don't be discouraged by what you might consider a low reading, wrench on it, go back and see if you made an improvement.
Simple.
Cheers.

Don't listen to these retards give you **** about what "numbers" you put down. Out of all of the car crowds I've been in (neons, dsm's, 3800s), no group of people cared as much about dyno numbers as you guys.
You know what's fun? Pulling on a car that put down bigger "numbers" than you.
My buddy made 278whp on a dynojet in his Red Line. I sometimes pull a little on him and sometimes we are neck and neck. I made 219whp on a Mustang (a very low reading mustang).

There might be a 10% loss from FWD to RWD due to FWD being more efficient at putting the power to the wheels, not a difference in the dyno #. If your putting down 244whp you dont add 10%. Unless they have another dyno that they compare to that says the exact same cars show exactly 10% difference over their dyno under the same conditions, then you could say on the other dyno I should show about 10% more.

Have you made it to the track and put down some times?? I'm really looking into the Trifecta tune and am interested in the comparison of my GMS1 and your Trifecta. Thank you again. And Nelsone for the time thus far.
