Talking Finally Dynod My TVS Setup

So I finally got my car on the dyno today, had three runs total

Results :

283whp/249wtq

I'm pretty satisfied with the results for now as I tuned it conservatively, with a AFR of 11.3 and 13 degrees of timing up top, I couldve tuned it more aggressively but that will wait till the weather gets more stable.

Definatley pulls harder than my m62 setup with Meth,no meth injection was used today, was running on 93 premium gas only.

As for my power mods, the ones that matter that is

60's
TVS 2.9"
ZZP 3" Cold Air Intake
Dual Pass W/Option B
ZZP Stage 3 Heat Exchanger
ZZP Catted Long Tube Header
DUAL GMPP Touring Exhaust

Here's a pic of the dyno sheet :

&&& A crapy cellphone video lol :

See, Thats exactly why I havent gotten a TVS yet, That seems really low to me, I would think with your supporting MOD's that you would have passed 300WHP on a TVS, But maybe I'm wrong for feeling that way, I guess I figure if I'm spending at least $1,200 on a USED TVS that I would expect to cross the 300WHP mark.

^^^ this is what i thought also, but remember he is not running meth, or a really small pulley, people who run meth and a 2.7 pulley make right around or over 300 WHP. that to me is enough in a front wheel drive car.

I'm running a 2.8 on my TVS. Pump gas, full bolt ons, NO meth. 321WHP, my M62 was at 256WHP on the same dyno. The tune is the most important thing for making power on the TVS.

You sir got it right, its all in the tune, Im running an extremely conservative tune, Notice that my AFR is around 11 and my timing is low. If I run it a bit leaner and bump the timing up a bit i'll be sitting at 300. Plus guys keep this in mind...

I tuned it my self, Im not a tuning master, the only car i mess with is my own. So Im extremley happy with the results at the moment

Thanks everybody

You made great numbers for a conservative tune like that. Mine is def a little more on the aggressive side.

It was at Moore's automotive in fairfax, Sean told me about it, pretty good shop, and their dyno is accurate, 3 runs with AFR and boost reading for 75 bux, and I believe they do group discounts too.I will be going there in another month so I'll definatley hit you up lol...

Oh me too, I totally agree that 300+ WHP is enough for me as well in a Front Wheel drive car. However, I didnt know how Conservative the Tune really was so in this Circumstance its acceptable, But I'm just saying if it were me I would want to be at at the very least 300+ WHP with a TVS, But at any rate Congrats Man

Meedo is saying the place he went has a discount for groups...granted $75 for 3 pulls is fine with me. I still think a dyno day would be awesome! Plus like I said I can record everyones runs and send out video clips to everyone...

Your def giving me hope that maybe I'll just go ahead and buy the TVS, My big thing is debating weather or not to go TVS or Tubro swap and honestly I would rather go TVS not just beacuse I already have the supporting Mods for it, But it's also Unique as well AND I'm really a Supercharged guy, I LOVE the sound and th Instant Power(No Lag) But Hey if you can make 321 WHP with NO METH and a 2.8, Then I think I'm in!

Not sure why I feel this way but I just dont feel like messin with the whole METH thing, It scares me running it pre-blower with the TVS bearings(horror stories) plus I dont know what the Hell I'm doing when it comes to METH either Lol

I think the obvious thing that needs to be done is to ditch that GMPP exhaust.
