I'm just curious, but who came up with that crazy port?
and what is the benefit vs just opening the triangle symetrically.
My H62 has a ported outlet, but it ported to match the extra twist of the rotors.
Again, just curious man.

The theory is opening up the triangle to the point that just as the lobes seal up their section of air against the housing, the other side is passing the triangle pushing the air through. The stepped part is to break up the air pulses.

The Saab head is a 2.2/l61. Smaller intake and exhaust ports. I was told I was buying an 05 redline head; didn't realize it till it was too late. So the exhaust is up to about a stock lsj; Intake is smaller.

If you look closely at the graph, you can see where the tq curve of the 2.6 ported vs 2.5 ported comes back together up top. Lower rpm where flow wasn't as critical the tq shot up. Up top it just spiked the boost because it simply couldn't shove any more air through.
