w00t, hit the dyno ;)

Well I finally got to hit the dyno to finish up my tuning, AF and boost were perfect (as perfect as you can get with the stock turbo DOH!) just was waiting to dial in some timing. This was on 93 octane winter blend (blah) in 68 degree ambients and hot. I think cold this car would be good for 340WHP or so but thats for another day Anyhow this thing loves timing up top! That said, i'm out of turbo up top as well

Dark Red, with the low spoiler (I'm east side and west side just depends on the day ) and yes I guess I'm a tard and didnt realize there was a dyno section ROFL I'll post that in a minute. Mods are Hahn coolram/catless dp/intercooler/charge pipes/exhaust and alot of tuning. Of note here is that again these were ALL hot pulls, once hot the power is damn near DEAD ON every pull due to the intercooler keeping charge temps controlled. Everyone was VERY impressed with this thing.

Nice numbers, Chris. How must boost are you running these days? 3rd or 4th gear pulls?

Well that little spike you see at the bottom where it makes peak torque is about 24-25 PSI I was going to tune it out but its not knocking there and it comes down pretty quickly so at the bottom of the pull its making about 20-22PSI down there slowly dropping to about 18ish as I run out of turbo on the top and start cranking in a bit of timing. The pulls were done in third as third is 1.18:1 and fourth is .89:1 so without a true 1:1 I figured why beat the thing any harder than it needs to be third is close enough

Ok, cool. I was just wondering. We have been using 3rd gear as well. How much timing are you running up top? These LNFs sure don't respond to timing the same way LSJs do. Or most motors for that matter.

Yeah no kidding! down low I dont have much timing in it I believe about 7-9 degrees until the pressure starts to fall off then I'm to about 14ish at the top it seems to be ok with that (no knock).

My car is also at 7-10* down low and 14-15* up high. DI pistons are very similar to diesel pistons except for the compression ratio. I believe given the motors VE more timing is not necessary as the mixture takes very little time to burn. I would definately take your 68* ambiant temps over my 80*+ temps in florida.
