Lightbulb $150 Dash Kit???

I recently went to Circuit City to check out my options on getting an aftermarket CD player installed. The tech told me something about an adapter kit that costs $150. I figure this guy doesn't know what he talking about. Has anyone heard of a dash kit for the Cobalt being this much money? If not, what kind of dash bracket do I need to put a single DIN radio in the oversized factory hole? Please help....

yeah the PAC adapter can run up near taht price (adapter for steering wheel controls) but if u look on like crutchfield.com they have the Din kit for like $20, harness for $15ish, i have yet to buy anyhting from them for the cobalt but they have yet to lead me in the wrong direction on my past installs. id def shopa roudn ur local sterio places, near me between 2 stores there can be as much as a $10 diff for the same piece.

Geez, I wish people would know what they're talking/do a little research about something before they post. That's just what this message board needs, more misinformation. The PAC adapter runs anywhere from $43 - $50 on ebay, brand new.

i apologize for mine, when i first went shopping around to find one they CAN cost around $100+ and they can very in price from state to state and where u go, so the info my not be wrong but like i said diffrent places charge diff amounts for items, a person can only post what they know to be true from personal experience.plus i know places where when they give out prices they do it for item plus install so another option is there, i think you need to consider multiple options before you make a choice to post about some one elses experience who you do not know.
