**Need help with compatibility issue, Quick Question**

Will a Pioneer avh-p1400 installed in an 07 SS be plug and play into my 05 SS?? i think the stock head units are different but he has the harness and its in an 07 now, mines an 05 and i was going to buy it!!! Thanks!!

Ya the plug is the same.. The difference will be working with Pioneer system and/or Onstar. Depending on what harness is used.

do you care to explain what you mean??? he said his steering wheel controls work now, i think he has the axxess plug, he said it was about an $80 plug and everything worked as it now!!

BTW i dont have onstar anyhow

you can get a different harness to keep your steering wheel controls. its called PAC and its only like $40 and if you want to keep your stock chimes you will need another harness. thats the expensive part.

Thats good. Metra Axxess sterring wheel controls is a better module than the PAC. The harness is what I was talking about though for the actual car. It's either a module like the steering wheel controls or its just a regular harness with wires and no module. I'd assume he bought the module and did it the right way if he bought the steering wheel controls, I'd say yes should be plug and play.

I'm just telling you everything I bought. I just got mine installed on Thursday. And the PAC works perfect.

im just afraid something is different with the 05 and 07 and i hate to buy it if its not all going to work...the price im getting it is good for a plug and play setup but not if i have to buy all new interfaces and harnesses

Ok he gave me the module interface number , its a GMOS-LAN-04.....will that work on my 05 SS

That one say its to keep on star and is for 06 and up. But I bought an 07 and up for my 06 and it still worked.
