you won't lose any factory chimes, but you will lose steering wheel controls. if you want to keep them, you'll have to buy a special wiring harness for you receiver for like $120. if you dont care about that, you still need a general harness for the alpine HU to connect to the stock setup.

no you do loose the factory door shimes and turn signal noises and all that good stuff, believe me I know its gone, and I just want to run my own wires and everything I dont need a wire harness to connect to the stock one thats why I want to know if you jump to wires together or something

wow, i didn't lose anything and none of my audio is stock. but i got the wiring harness for my alpine headunit. you just splice the wires from the alpine to the harness then plug the harness directly into the factory plug. turn signals, door chimes, everything is still there. only thing i can suggest is look at all of the input wires from the stock connector and figure out if you are not using any for the alpine setup. my car is a 2005 and came with the mp3 stereo, but it might have changed since the '07. only thing i have different it seems is the harness, so other than that im not really sure.

selling the components?

from what I know about the 07's you need a special wiring harness to keep the door chimes/steering wheel controls.

your constant is gonna be yellow that you splice into the harness. the red coming from the HU is the ignition and that just needs to go to a fuse.

Yes the 07 Radio system is different than the 05-06 radios. What you will need to do is take the wiring diagram here and match it to the coloring on the alpine harness. I would suggest trying circuit city or best buy and show them how you have the radio out, and ask what harness you need. Do not let them sell you anything over 20 bucks or anything that will keep your chimes or whatnot. I even think that their shop fee may be almost as much as a harness so if you take it there, you might be just able to give them a diagram provided on the forums here and have them solder it and mount it for you for the same price you would pay for a harness. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

There is a device, but it costs some money. You can get the head unit to work without it. If you want the chimes, you need this...
