2 Questions

Yeah... so two questions...

1.) Can we ever expect a kit or harness to allow our steering wheel controls to work with an aftermarket equipment (Either a HeadUnit or Sirius (esp Sirius))

2.) Is there anyway to convert the pre-installed xm to sirius, I know this has been discussed before, but has this changed?

Thanks,
Rich

1.) its called a SWIX, costs about $65, most Tweeter, Etc.'s have them or Hi Fi Buys, maybe even eBay, but make sure its new and not used. I most recently installed one on my boss's Olds Aurora for use with an Alpine head unit.

So how do that thing work? Do you know? I looks like it learns the various signals from the steering controls and sends them out over-the-air via infra red...

Am I close?

Could you give some more details?

Thanks,
Rich

I wonder if there is a way we can retain the existing setup of the steering wheel controls... and just at support for a sirius unit...

IE... Tune Up / Tune Down... and thats about it... maybe preset, but that would be pushing it...

I love the stock sound system and will not be chaning it anytime soon... I just want sirius over xm.
