Anyone set up one of these in an SS/SC yet with the pioneer 7 speaker setup?

If so, how did you configure the speakers?

Are there even 5.1 Head Units available aftermarket yet?

 

alpine has it... a co-worker at my shop has it in his specV... sounds really cool

 

i wanna mess with my 5.1 this summer when i have some cash hurd its gunna be a pain in the ***** tho...sound system is a great system...i just need more cowbell BASS

there are several 5.1 hus out there... but im not sure i would go 5.1 with stock speakers

 

Most good DVD head Units play 5.1 and you can also get a 5.1 digital processor for the ones that don't. In order to get true 5.1 surround sound, you will have to add a center channel speaker on your dash. 5.1 Surround in a car sounds amazing. If it is done right, it can sound better than most home systems because of the closed space.

 

I have the 5.1 digital processor for my Avic Z1 but I haven't installed it yet. Just because I would want to get another amp for the car speakers and new speakers instead of using the stock ones

 

why not test it out on stock speakers anyway?
