Add mono amp to stock sub.

I have a pioneer 800 watt mono amp. What I am wondering is if I can have this amp power only the stock sub, and then have the stock amp only power the doors speakers and tweeters. If it is possible, would it make much difference, and what else would i need to buy to get it installed.

can it be done yes... will 800w rms blow the stock sub yes. do i think ur amp is an actual 800w rms no. anyway tread softly because the stock sub is pretty whimpy and cant handle much power

the amp is 800w max and 350w rms at to ohms, and would disconnecting the stock amp for the sub make the regular speakers sound better since the sub isn't sucking up all the power?

For the sake of how it'll sound and messy wiring...I say just buy new speakers and start your OWN setup.

no disconnecting the stock amp would make the stock speakers stop playing (since they are all connected to it)... sry ill stop being an ass and be helpful.

The stock setup is 100% optimized for exactly what it is. its not ment to take any more power or any less really. Disconnecting the stock sub isnt going to make the interior speakers louder because all it really does is make the amp run "cooler" which doesnt matter because that amp is designed to run in an oven for 7 years until ur warrenty is up.

Assuming u do all this u want to disconnect the wires for the stock sub via connector at the sub itself. Unfortunatly there is no way to make this look pretty or keep an easy way to go back to stock UNLESS you can get ahold of a speaker harness for the stock sub. Not sure if anyone makes them but i dont see why there wouldnt be one floating around somewhere. Then u want to either cut or t tap depending on if u find said harness to get ur signal for the LOC or high level inputs and connect the speaker wires from the amp to either ur cut stock connector or the speaker harness
