Adding another Stock Sub?
Adding another Stock Sub?
A friend of mine is giving me his stock sub out of his SS/SC. I was wondering if there was a way to hook it up. I figure that i will need an additional amp. But i was told by the local stereo shop that i wont be able to run the extra sub. If someone can help me out here i would greatly appreciate it.
theirs always a way...my suggestion would be a line level output thing..that taps off your rear speakers wires...then run a wire from your wipers fuse upfront to the remote wire on the amp, that way it will only be on with the raido..then power/ground and run your speaker wires
it accually seems like a really cool idea to me accually...

only problem I see is that it's going to face the wrong way if you put it on the other side...don't know where else it would go.
After taking apart my own stock system, I don't see why you couldn't change out the subs to dual 4 ohm subs and split the signal from the stock factory one and run half to the other one....(the stock sub is dual 2ohm and each channel is run by the amp individually)
