adding a subwoofer

adding a subwoofer

i am planning to add a 10" jackhammer sub in my 2005 cobalt ss. i am just wondering if it is possible to keep the stock pioneer sub and use the new one at the same time. if it is possible will it sound ok?

im pretty sure this would work as long as your keeping the stock deck.

yeah im keeping the stock deck, just adding a new amp and sub.

i assume your using a line out converter to get the signal for the sub?

does the stock head unit have rca output jacks? if not then ill be using a line out converter.

no it doesnt you would need the loc

you can but its not going to be the best sound. i normally recommend disconnecting it when installing a new speaker
