AeroForce Interceptor Not Turning Off

I just got my Interceptor gauge today and installed it but only used the OBD2 connector, not the little 3 wire mini cable. As my thought was that the power would be connected by only using the OBD2 port. I'm not too good with electrical things so this is why I'm asking. Since it does not turn off (even when the car is turned off), I'm just going to unplug it from the OBD2 every time I get out of the car. After reading the instructions, it says if using the mini connector, "do not use the power wire from stock boost gauge". So exactly where would I tap the power wire into?

Mine stay on for sometimes 10 minutes after the key is off. It is probably because the OBD2 port is still seeing enough voltage to keep them on. Instead of unplugging them, leave them on and check back in 15 minutes to see if they are off

It will stay on for a while. However you will have to unplug, wait a few seconds, then replug when you restart or it wont turn on. I know there is a better way but Ive been rocking it like this for 2 years

i have the same issue but is random
normal turn off
mine goes out 13-15 secs. this is normally when the speedometer does the calibration thingy lol

solution when not,
turn key into on (dont start car), then off and take off key.
and it will do it within the 13-15 secs

its normal. they shut off whenever they feel like. sometimes they come on sometimes they don't for awhile but they will always shut off. if it bothers you just unplug it.

Thanks everyone!
I went out and turned the car on/off. Went back out to check 15 min later, and it was turned off.
I really do love the gauge!

For mine it was staying on and what I had to do was take the 2 prong protector off and wire the red cable(on the 3 wire extra plug) to a other power wire while the car was on. I wired it into the sunroof so the gauge only works whole the sunroof has power (ignition is on) it shuts off soon I open the door when the key is out of the ignition too!
