aftermarket deck woes!!!
alright so i just installed a aftermarket deck in my 06 ss/sc everything works great had some trouble with the interior lights not illuminating but got that fixed only thing that's going wonky on me is the boost gauge doesn't light up, and idles about -20 kpa and on wot goes to about 20 kpa when it use to goto 80.... and my hvac options like a/c,rear defrost, and circulate the indicator light doesn't illuminate!! i've checked all the obvious fuses and they all look good to me, i am using the pac interface with my deck, i just don't get it and it's driving me NUTS!!! anyone else have this issue after installing a deck??? if so how did you fix it??? would like to get some input from here before i head to the local car audio shop for them to **** with it (kinda defeats the purpose of me installing it i guess) anyways any input on this would be appreciated and thanks in advance!!!

yeah i do believe i saw ur post on the grand prix fourm when i was trouble shooting, and i did re-connect the illumination wire after reading that thread which gave me back the interior lights, except the boost gauge and the hvac indicator lights!!! i'm thinking it must be a fuse but from what i hear the boost gauge runs off the wiper fuse??? and i'm pretty sure my wipers are working so i'm puzzled PLEASE HELP ME!!!
but now u mention it i kinda think it is the module, my door chimes only work sometimes, and the blinker noise comes through the car and the module at the same time...something's fucky
i dunno what's goin on, i bought a new blue top battery i got everything now only issue i'm having is the indicator lights on the hvac maybe the hvac is fucked??? or the relay??? all fuses are good, how do i know if a relay is bad?
what do u mean indicator lights on the hvac? i have the wiring scematic for the hvac system if you want it but probably wont help. have u tried disconnecting the pac harness to see if that fixes it
yeah with it disconnected same thing, the backlight on the hvac works, but when u push say "defrost" a light shows at the top same with the "circulate" and "a/c" all have a indicator light that there on!!, i donno what's goin on
where does the harness go chevy95??? my boost gauge is kinda acting weird too, does the antenna cable act as a ground like it does in the cavaliers??? cause i still need the adaptor or that so it isn't hooked up, and my pac module only plugs into the long blue plug the smaller black plug is left untouched is that harness for the steering wheel controls or??? anyways any wiring diagrams for the hvac?? so i can trace the wires and or would the relay **** the indictor lights and the boost gauge???
the second mini plug is for XM and all antennas are ground
it might be something with gm lan but idk. you can try yanking the battery letting it sit for a bit then reconnecting. or checking all the fuses i would also disconnect the pac harness while you do that

06 cobalt eh? you might just need an ECU update if all that **** is acting funky...had to get mine flashed because my idle started acting funky.....90$ at the dealership...ask them if you need one, just throwing that out there.
i've already had the battery disconnected, have a blue top now, sitting at my place till i'm ready to drive the car again, i've checked both fuse panels twice, no fuses are blown really driving me nuts newer cars these days never had a issue with older cars!!
Radio Problems?
First of all what module are you using? I would take everything you have hooked up since you started having problems out, put th factory back in, actually just take it out start the car and see what is or isnt working, you dont even need the radio, then lastly and most importantly, dont go anywhere in the vehicle for power except the fuse panel on the passeneger side of the center console. There are way to many data wires in these car, you tap the wrong one and your car will act goofy. Int he fuse box there is a pink wire that tests ignition for your radio if you choose to use it, otherwise the module should create a ignition source via data for your radio. Ill stop now but let me know what module you have, I sell them so if yours is crap, hit me up ill get you the right one, good luck chris
really any of the module harnesses are finiky. if it was me i would just yank it and buy the cheap one. theres absolutly no reason for the module harness in 05-06 cars. all that harness gives you is acc and chimes doesnt work with onstar, doesnt have line level inputs it really is pointless to have IMO
