I have tried posting this on the g5 club which got 3 responses, two being comments about my chest and the other telling me I was stupid for buying the harness in the first place. So i thought I would see if I have better luck here.

I have a 2008 base G5 and I have been trying to install a stereo for months and its given me nothing but problems. I got the PAC wiring harness and when I got it all set up the stereo wouldn’t even turn on. Thinking it was a problem with my stereo I sent it in to get fixed it came back with nothing wrong. So my next step was to take off the chime box and use part of the $100 harness and I was able to get the stereo to power on. The problem is that it has no sound and it makes my DIC go blank. Does anyone have any ideas? I am thinking about just ordering the metra harness but I really didn't want to waste $100.

 

just get the cheaper metra harness. It's like $20
