Have you noticed that in the Cobalt commercials and on the Chevy website, you never see an antenna? I'm talking about that hideous monkey tale wrapped in black electrical tape. Dodge does the same thing with the SRT-4. You would think that both cars have integrated rear windshield antennas by looking at the manufacturer's photos. I can understand why they do it, the antenna's uglify otherwise attractive rides, but it seems a bit unethical to me. I just noticed it recently with these two vehicles. Maybe there is a long history of this in the auto biz?

 

Yeah, it kinda sucks that GM cheaped out by using the old school antennae. You can tell that they're trying to cover it up as absolutely no publicity photo exists showing the antennae. Are in-glass antennae that much more expensive? The Aveo and Optra, both of which are Chevys priced lower than the Cobalt, have in-glass antennae.

 

where can you get an aftermarket 'shorty' intenna
i got a 4" s2000 antenna and noticed that the cobalt antenna's base has the female end, and the antenna is the male end
every other antenna ive seen is the opposite
help!
