For those of you who install alarms, have a quick question. I have posted pics in the gallery section of both the back of the alarm, and the wiring guide from the book. Need to know which two wires will I connect from the alarm system to the positive and negative wires coming off my door lock actuators. Thanks in advance if you can help.

It's right there in the diagram you posted.

Wire up your basic lock/unlock wires through the two relays as shown. It's called a reverse polarity set-up.

 

Okay, I appreciate that, then can you tell me, according to the diagram, what the purple (positive door lock switch) and the Green (negative door lock switch) are for?

 

Do you have aftermarket locks or factory?If there aftermarket,just follow the diagram.As for the purple wire,you dont need it.Mostly fords have a pos door switch.The green wire is for the dome light input.You gotta connect it to the door pin switch.I dont know if u have a 2 door or 4 door,but u might have to connect the green wire to all 4 door pin switches and diode isolate them.I know with the 2 doors u have to do that.

 

Yeah just a 2 door coupe. Also have the aftermarket door actuators. Currently just wired straight to two wires coming off another basic alarm, not relay'd. Why another alarm system you ask? One on there now, doesn't have valet switch, and led doesn't work. (damaged in shipping, but needed it for the door lock/unlock and trunk release features until I could get this alarm). Ok, it's sunday, recovering from the weekend, so just to recap, the green and blue wires will need to be relayed then to the actuators, and the other green will go to the door switch for the dome light sensing. Disregard the purple all together. Is that correct?
