hey guys and galls i have a amp powering my new rca 6.5s in the doors and the tweets on my doors...anywho when i listen to tha nig beats loud for like 3 min the amp will cut out. it will just be my 6x9s and subs in the back playing....the subs are woorking good on a seperate amp. its just the front 6.5s and the amp that powers them keeps cutting out at high volume. any ideas ppls

how is your ground. and when it cuts out, how hot is the amp? do the power lights on the amp turn off when the speakes cut out?

 

i usualy cant check because im always driving....ill hav eto chech when i get it back together i have everythin stripped to do dynamating and a custom sub install......i know ground is good and power lights are on......dunno bout heat tho

 

ya if your grounds are good and the lights are on, chances are its over heating or there is a fault in the amp itself. make sure you have good airflow to the heatsink on the amp to prevent over heating.

 

ya the amp is probably going into thermal
