offbrand touch screen

so i bought a new 7" touchscreen headunit and i am anxious to install it but my car is in the body shop until Wednesday atleast, all because my aunt backed into my door, i got the head unit to day and the brand name is eonon, any one hear of it?, it looks nice and has alot of features i payed $257 for it, it had good reviews online, and the guy at the body shop did some work for me on my jeep when my dad backed into it and i told him what a nice job they did, so later i was talking about color matching my trim on the inside and he said he would mix up some extra paint for me, so im getting like a quart of sunburst orange and il just have to clear coat it. i think i lucked out, and there were some other smal dings on the side and the guy said he would take care of them at no cost. i just hope they are good at color matching cause that orange will be easy to see if its a slight bit off, where my jeep was dark metallic blue and less noticable, but it looked perfect.

my next addition to my system is going to be a soundstream T5 in a custom box of some sort, i dont know if i want to go through the hastle of fiberglass again, and i want it to sound good so im not sure if seaed or ported, and i would do an mdf box if i can make it look decent

Let me just quote one of the comments made in the user reviews for the unit

"i have the 0626 model and everything was installed properly and the unit started smoking now the screen does not light up but touchscreen functions still chirp and power button lights up what can be done?"

How about this one

"I've been working in the car audio install field for eight years and never had a radio start smoking when it was installed. Double checked all wiring and there was nothing wrong. The e838 now has a white screen with a blue line running down it with no probable cause as to why it happened"

One more just for sh*ts and giggles

"made with thin and faulty cable from unit to screen so it only last untill the warrintee runs out then have to pay shipping to and from and wait and wait what about selling the units with quality cables from unit to screen so thay last longer becouse if you screw the consumer then we will do THE SAME TO YOU SHAME SHAME SHAME "

depends on the unit. Anyone that says everything a company makes is a flop or everything is good is a damn liar. Every good comapny has mad bullshit before and all the bullshit companies have some products that are decent.

Ive never seen a PA 3" or 5.3" dvd unit come back for warrenty but any of those cheap flips outs break like nothing, dual is probably the best of them but valor, jensen, spl, PA, xovision, soundstream ect ect all break
