alright, well i got it installed and i love it, the only thing is there is a slight static all the time, cant notice really when tuned up, but when low you can definitely hear it, another thing is my windshield wipers stopped working, and it decided to rain tonight!!!, my buddy was doing the fuse tap for the remote wire, do you think he could of bumped a relay for wipers out of place, i dont think or couldnt even imagine that the wipers are relayed through the stereo? help pleas, rain is in the forcast for the next few days!

he probably taped the wiper fuse. Any chance you have an amp or something hooked up to that fuse too?

ok, i figured it out, the wiperfuse fell out while he was pulling out the other dashlight fuse(my remote), as for the static, or noise if you will, could that be because of the factory amp, because on volume level one it is fairly loud, like around 1/4 -1/2 of the factory level is what mine sounds like on one, is there a way to remove the factory amp without rewiring the whole system?, all help is appreciated! thx

if im not mistaken, for the remote wire to am, dont you just tap into the one on the back of the aftermarket HU itself?

p.s. im glad to hear it works! im thinking of getting one,

EmperporJ11, question for you sir, you tend to have the answer to all my questions. Is it possible to put two single din units in our dash?

nope you would need to cut and splice at the amp

yup very possible. i believe they make a 2 single din kit if not you can always use a double din kit and and utalize iso mounting but it wont look quite as clean as the 2 single din

the wires at the amp. If you remove the stock amp the wires from the HU are no longer inline with the wires connected to the speakers. They both are hanging on a connector a few inches away but that doesnt help any

I was confused by what you were saying but if it makes it any clearer. When you remove the stock amp, the wires from the speakers to the amp to the HU, are no longer attached, because they were running thru the amp, so you will have to connect the wires from the HU side to the wires from the speaker side when you add your aftermarket amp, after removing the stock one.

yup very possible. All you have to do is unplug the amp connectors and either cut the connectors off and extend/splice the wires together or use ttaps if you ever wanted to go back to stock.

Basically you just need to get the wires that are connected to the HU to the wires that are connected to the speakers.

so i could essentially, unplug the amp and put little prongs on the ends of some wire and loop the wires through the plug, what about the power antennae/amp wire from the head unit, i could leave that still connected right?

o and where is the amp located at?

that would work yes but just shoving metal or wire into the connector is a awesome way to short all kinds of **** out

well i could look at the colors from the head unit and what does what, and then i could match them up to the speaker wires that were coming out of the amp, so it is essentially a plug and play when im done, i may even buy the connectors and make plugs for them or like a harness
