amp wont turn on, help!

amp wont turn on, help!

i tried installing subs and a amp with the How to: Install subs and amps with original H/U. i ran my remote wire to my wiper fuse. connected my amp to my battery and grounded out my amp where my battery ground was. and my amp isnt turning on . anyone have any advice?

check the fuse or fuses in the amp

Some amps nowadays have whats called a smart engage that turn on with factory H/U

checked the fuses, they are good. i dont believe my amp has smart engage.

nope. nothing at all. it acts like its not getting power but its hooked straight to the batter and the battery ground. im gonna check it with a voltage meter tomorrow and see if its getting power or not.

I'd agree, you must not have a good remote hook up to give you that intial power on for the amp.

i believe you can grab a remote off the thicker gauge pink wire coming out near the passenger kick panel.

Alright guys it was my remote wire, i tapped into my power window fuse and got the amp working, thanks for ur help
