Antenna Cable Help!

Long story short my gf's cobalt antenna cable got cut and then after i tried to resolder it and fix it didnt fully work, so i went to the dealership and got the replacement cable which is def long enough to go from the antenna to the radio

replacement part is # 22736115

only problem is that both ends are female and the one side has the "wings" on it which i know goes to the antenna and that plugs right in. the other side however had a plastic mounting pressure pin on it that made me think it plugs into some sort of junction box. On the stock cable the end that works with the radio is a male end so i am thinking since it came with that mounting bracket piece and its the wrong connector then there must be somewhere that it plugs into a junction of some sort...i already called best buy and the installer said the same thing and i should check around the glove box and passenger side dash...

here is the clip that came mounted on the one end

i tried following the wire last night but was pretty tired and gave up lol...all i know is that it joins up with a large coil of wires and works it way towards the glove box so ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!

2006 cobalt for me and no junction box in my car.....goes from the antenna to the extension cable directly into the radio....sorry i can't help you there, but i've never seen a junction box on the balts i've worked on, maybe emperorJJ could tell you whats up....

If it were me, I'd just drop a few bucks on a male to male extension.....if you have a stock radio, you'd need the reverse antenna adapter and another male to male extension piece.

so my gf got to my house finally and i went out and did some more investigating and i took the passenger side panel at the end of the dash to glance inside and try and follow the cable and sure enough there was a connection with that pressure pin...for anyone who needs with this in the future i took pictures lol

Question, sorry to revive an old thread.

what path does the cables use? does it go over the roof liner, through c pillar to a pillar? or under carpet along the right side?

do you still have the pics, i cannot find this junction.

Sorry EMp, you keep responding to me, thank you so much!

i am more interested in the route of the cable from the back.

i broke ym cable and bought a new one and need to pull it out.

i know it runs through the quarter panel over the wheel well, but i lose sight of it after that.

it goes thru the opening just under the rear deck and pretty much shoots straight to the antenna /bracket. its taped up in with a bunch of wires so sorta hard to trace
