New audio mod
Buddy of mine was selling the armrest lid with a built in iPod dock that he made and I picked it up. Just installed it and it works flawlessly. Completely hidden install so no wires are visible which is what I wanted.
Radio on
Armrest view
Rear of armrest
iPod plugged in and running
Here's a YouTube video of it all:

I like this a lot. I don't have steering wheel controls and I hated having to full with the Ipod whenever I wanted to change the song so I bought an Alpine head unit, and my Ipod stays in the passenger side compartment all the time, wiring goes straight into the compartment from behind the dash, so nothing is visible. However, I really really like this idea it looks sweet! If I had steering wheel controls this would've been my option of choice!

It charges the iPod yes, my phone doesn't fit in the spot. Well it does but it won't lay flat so not very good to leave it there. The iPod is connected directly to the deck so it displays the song info and all that too as well as controlling the thing. It's the same thing as running the iPod cord to the USB port on the front of the deck, except this way it's all hidden from view.

If u plug the iPod into the USB port it will do all the above, he just hardwired it into the back of the deck as far as I know but the stereo thinks its plugged into the USB port
