anyone Familiar with Compustar Remote Start?

So I have been reading that Compustar makes some of the best remote start systems, but im not sure which one to get.
I have a stickshift i know people will disagree, but i want to get it.

I have the same alarm, the RFP-2W900
If you have a 2007+ make sure you get the pro model that takes the Blade modules.
Getting the remote start to work properly with the idata link or the Fortin modules was a nightmare, put the blade in, work first time, no problems since, that was a year ago.

the blade works with ANY compustar... thats what they were made for... unless you pick up an old compustar model... but if you buy it new your fine...

http://www.idatalink.com/search/index/model/4771

that website shows the bypass module you would need for your car starter... the ads-blade-al ... is the one you want since it will allow the key fob of the compustar remote to unlock and lock your doors... and priority unlock as well as trunk release... so your set...

compustar makes some great stuff... their newer lines are especially impressive... i have an older model... the 2W8000FMASF... starter/alarm combo... great system never had a problem with it...

for alarm i also added on the a glass break sensor, back up siren and a proximity sensor... the proximity sensor can be a little bit of a pain ... just needs to be adjusted properly... not to sensitive is key... otherwise a truck driving by your car would set it off from 10 feet away...

The non-pro models don't have a docking bay to allow the blade to hook up with the brain

well what if i only want the remote start... i dont really wish to have any alarm, considering my stock alarm works fine enough, i dont really have problems in my area... do i still need the blade? and can i program the compustar to be just a remote start/turbotimer for future mods?

if you're a manual the dealer might not do it at all. The dealer here told me they won't do it on a manual.

thats what pisses me off. they are as safe as an auto. I'm gonna try to call my local compustar dealer tomorrow and check if they'll do it. There are a few more near me, then they go down near the "hood", where i don't trust driving my car let alone having work done on it.

If i cant get a dealer to install it, i'm not sure what to do. Legally i need to buy a starter designed for a manual. I would have a well known shop install the alarm. I work with a guy who used to do installs and said he knows some guys that might be willing to wire up the starter for me.
