Anyone have a Valentine One?

I'm thinking about getting one. If anyone has one, how do you have it set up? Just a windshield mount?

Best Radar Detector money can buy IMO. I use mine whenever I drive my car. I just have mine mounted on my windshield next to my mirror so it's not blocking my view. Eventually I'm going to have it hardwired.

if you do a lot of highway driving this is the best place for it....thats where mine is. however if you do a lot of city driving with some highway driving mixed in the middle of the windshield is where its best.

the higher the signal the farther out it reads but as you get closer to the source it might not read as well... the lower the signal the better at reading closer sources but wont do much good on the highway.

I probably won't hardwire because I'd be using it in two different cars. Is it in the way at the top of the windshield if it's not hardwired?

not really unless you want to have a long chord hanging...it comes with a hardwire kit....you can use that in one car and the chord in another or just buy a second hardwire kit and put it in both.

yea I saw your thread awhile back. Its sick. I'd love to pay for something like that to be done...but i'd be kinda pricey to ship my dash to you from Hawaii...

I hear ya about the wires. That sounds simple enough. Head liner hard to take out?

no not at all...remove the a and c pillars, sun visors, and all the little non sense, pull the weatherstrips out and go from there.

Oh, so if it's hardwired I can easily take it out to put in the other car?

I just ran a wire from the fusebox up the pillar, also tapped into moonroof. Took like 2minutes.

$350 refurbished and $400 new directly from ValentineOne. I recommend only buying from them or another user on here. I wouldn't buy one on Ebay.

Question say you come across 5 cop cars on your commute (at different times/locations) Will it warn you about each one, or do some get ignored....I have the Escourt 8500 and it will catch about 3 out 5 cars.
