Anyone installed a subwoofer?

I'm probably going to be installing a sub in my new SS/TC and I was wondering if anyone knew if the stock deck had rca outputs. I'm guessing it doesnt, and I was wondering how hard or easy it is to put a system in this car.

Im really good with installing steros. No the stock headunit wont had the rca ports. You'll have to buy a new headuint and a wiring harness for the year of your car. dashkit and the power wires and remote. Just rip the trim piece off above the glove box and the center one off. after that you can take the old radio out and re wire everything. rest is all amp and sub work. Pretty easy

or if you wanna keep factory looks, buy a lineout convertor and a clean sweep, then amp/sub

yeah, i was thinking of getting a new head unit, but then my steering wheel mounted controls wont work for the stereo will they? I was thinking of getting a clean sweep and just using the stock head unit so i dont have useless controls on my steering wheel.

pac gm steering wheel controls

they make the install a bit harder, but then you wont have useless controls, and in the long run they make it a little bit easier cuz the wiring is easier

the only thing you might lose is door chimes and turn signal clickers, though you can buy a harness that keeps them
