Anyone Try to Add a 2nd Pioneer Sub to their SS

Just wondering if anyone has tried to add a 2nd Pioneer Sub to their SS or if it would even work at all?

You wouldn't want them facing eachother. Angled possibly, but not on the passenger side faceing the driverside one. Bad for tone and quality.
I am thinking of leaving the stocker hooked up when I get my subs outta the Lancer. My fiancee is using them til we get her an amp for her subs. I'm too lazy to move the amp off the presnet box and put it on another just to reapply it...eh, too much thought after my bachelor party.....

you could make it work but as wicked said not facing each other the bass kinda "cancels" each other out its still there but sounds bad your best bet is to just get a new sub if you not looking for much one sub should do and if you do it right you can make it easily removable say you go to the track or need the trunk space

i dont know about you but before i droped my subs in i had them in 2 single boxes and they were facing eoucher other. i think it had better sound quality that way but their was no space at all in that trunk.

and about leaving the stock sub. i would do it. i am currenly working on making a box to fit on the other side for a 8" sub. so i can hit all of the low tones.

And what speckers are you people replacing the rest of the stock speckers? i was looking at polk for the componet speckers in the frount and polk 6"x9"s

You might be able to put it in facing the right side of the trunk.. It should sound good giving it a slightly different tone bouncing it off the side of the trunk.

If we were able to do this. What do we tap into from the factory wiring?

run your RCA cable into the existing stock sub wiring harness... its the set of 4 wires going into the sub box... splice into those wires using a rca cable with one end with the normal 2 plugs and split it into 4 wires on the other end
