the current wiring harnesses on the market for the pioneer system. do NOT work on the 07 cars with this system. the amp is different, or known as "protocal" if you want to add a aftermarket head unit. you need to hold off till the prototype gets the ok in the next month or so from PAC.
metra and pac do NOT have a harness for the 07 ss/sc cars yet. if you really want an aftermarket headunit. you have to bypass the stock amp. you will need 5 channels to do this right, and external cross overs.

Id have to agree, where are you getting youre info. From what I know (from calling and E-Mailing METRA) if you dont have the pioneer system you need a GMOS-LAN-03 or a XSVI-2104, if you do have the pioneer system you need a GMOS-LAN-04.

this is the info straight from PAC. there was a change in the bus system in the 07 cars. some of them still have the 06 style system, while others got the newer style.
gm does funny things, so i honestly would not be suprised if yours works, while others may not.
I didn't use a PAC, I wasn't interested in keeping my steering wheel controls for my deck. I rarely have my right hand on the wheel, and I found when the stock deck was in there I kept hitting the mute button all the time >.< My cruise control on the left hand side still works.. to be honest I'd rather have a new steering wheel, The middle spoke is right in the way of my cruising position
anyways my VIN is: 1G1AP15P877173075
The GMOS harness I got from metra was pretty much plug and play. Just had to play around with the chime and turn signal volumes and I was all set. I just got this car on June 26th, although I'm not sure of it's production date.
