Audio Noob. Headunit questions.

So last night my buddy was showing me his new radio he got from crutchfield.com. Its pretty cool. Handsfree bluetooth cell phone. Built in HD radio with Itunes tagging. And most important for me is a USB port for my Ipod.

However, it says in the description that my driver info center won't work once I install this radio. Is this true? Thanks for your input folks

nope, you can take the radio out completely, and the DIC will still work. They work independently. they are refering to cars that have it in the radio.

Ohhh ok. Thanks man! I do have another question. Will my stock sub work with this? I realize this is probably a stupid question but I know practically nothing about car audio haha.

hmm not sure, somebody else will have to chime in for that. I just completely re-ran all my wires for the new system so i got rid of the sub completely. I know the deck goes to an external amp, then splits off to the speakers, so it might work but im not sure.
