I was wanting to see if anyone had installed this in their cobalt ss, and if so where you guys bought it from. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I did some searching and I couldn't find anything useful. Thanks!

 

Always wondered why there never was a compass anywhere in the car..would've helped so many times in the last 5 years lol

You can find them on ebay easy. I paid 6 bucks for my replacement last month at the UPull. Love having it so I know when I am headed the wrong way.

Didnt click the link, but its three wires for the autodim/compass. switched 12v, ground and a line to reverse. all this does is when you put the car in reverse, the mirror dims. You can simply hook this to ground as well.

Oh, get the gentex ones. Donnelly=crap from my past experience. Had one fail and the fluid inside leaked all over my dash!

 

Mine isnt an onstar unit. Came from an 02ish grand prix. Thatd why mines just a simple 3 wire setup.
