AVH P3100DVD Questions
Alright.. I'm goings to be installing my new head unit this weekend, and I just have a few quick questions to ask before I go and mess something up.
First of all, what should I do with the parking brake wire? Should that just be grounded in order to bypass the whole 'You can't watch videos while driving' thing?
Second, what does the 'Reverse gear input signal' connect to? Or should I say.. what should I connect it to.
Lastly, what the hell is the 'mute' wire for?
Thanks!

Ground the parking brake wire to whatever, but wire a switch. The easy way to bypass that unit is to turn a switched ground on and off. Unless you are hooking up a backup camera, you can just ignore the reverse wire. IDK about the mute wire
Thanks, guys! I put it in and it works great BUT...
I couldn't find anything in the fuse box to tap into for the ACC power wire that actually comes on when the key is in the ACC position. (I have a base model.. there is no sunroof fuse etc)
I ended up tapping into the wiper fuse which comes on when the key is in the 'Start' position. However.. I would like to have it come on with the key in the ACC position. What could I tap into in the fuse box since I have a car with no sunroof, power windows, etc?
