Bazooka
I just pick up one of these bazooka tubes does anybody else have these things and/or are they a good subwoofer or what...there small thats why i want to get one
stock sub is better lol.... bazooka tubes suck really bad... its cheap, and its like ugly... its good for a small truck... but thats it. i say this because theres not much room for subs in a single cab truck... so the tube fits well behind the seats.
My cousin had a couple instaled in his turbocharged Jetta and all I know is that when he turned his system on everything got blurry because my eyeballs were shaking in their sockets (idk know if thats a good thing or bad thing) lol
Bazooka sucks. It is cheap. He is a rule everyone should follow when buying car audio. Cheap is not good. The cheaper it is the worse the quality, if you buy from a flea market it is cheap but it does not have any warranty and is most likely refurbished. With car audio you pay for quality. So every dollar you spend is and extra minute that goes into making that subwoofer the right way. Just think if you somebody building subwoofers for a living and you were going to get payed $50 dollars to build each subwoofer, you are going to rush and make it with cheap parts so that you can get alot of them done. Or say they offer you $200 to build each subwoofer and you just build 2 of them in a day with the right parts and pieces and take your time. Now there is a middle ground between bad ass equipment and crappy equipment just find something mid range price and you will get the best of both worlds, cost and quality. For those of you wondering why I wrote this, it is what I learned when attending stereo school when I got my MECP certification to install stereos and alarms. My teacher used to compete in world SPL and Sound Q Competitions. So I learned from the best.
i have a small s10 with a bazooka tube the 8 inch and its crap i have to say but the amp and sub cost me 50 bucks so i wasnt to mad its only good bc its behind the seat as said above but for a car thats not a hatchback its gunna sound like ass and yes it does distort and vibrate with any level thats really loud....i was looking for subs for this car and i was playing around with the stock sub and theres wires u can use to wire into the stock HU withought going up front with the batery in the trunk everything u need to do to modify is back there neway all i did at first was take the sub out then i thought ill put it flat on the floor and inside put some insulation and that worked good it bumped alot better and shook the car...then i bought a 10" box and put it in there and wired it and it sounded a little better but i wanted to get more bass fromt he sub without it coming from the rear speakers so i wired up a 150 watt amp i got for 20 bucks from my boys crx and low and behold i got it bumping loud now i dont like it too loud for a racer u know im not puttin in 15 inch kickers like i am on my denali but for a car and im sure u can find a 150 watt sub for 50 bucks its a great deal ...total cost with everything for me was 50 bucks 20 for the sub 20 for the box and 10 for some power connectors for the wire i had extra from my install on my truck but now ppl always ask me yo wat u got like a 12 or nething and im like no i got the stock sub amped and i show them and now all my boys wanna do it if u need help can try and walk u through it if u understand the wiring or just take it to a local auto mech and im sure for like 50 bucks theyll do it
I had an Amplified 10" for about 5 years. I still thumps. It was in three different cars too.
The only reason i don't have it any more because some ass wipe broke into my truck and stole it.
They are good buys. They are not crap if you know how to adjust the gain on them.
And they are not cheap either mine cost me $300 when i bought it from Cruchfield.
