if u need the money sell the wires to ur friend. It will help but cash is the key here. just do the battery negative use 4" (or whatever) of wire and sell the rest to your friend for however much you paid for it (or more whatever). then you get the 1 that does the most done and make ur money back. win win situation

i acctually did the ground one right when i got the wire...but yea ill probably sell it to him, ive only got 23 feet left but that should be more than enough for a regular car (with battery under the hood)

17ft is a good estimate for power wire so that leaves enough for ground and everything.

Brickloaf!!!
Its just running wires.
All that is required is a little effort.
Pull the trim off the drivers side, pull the drivers side seat out and pull the back seat out. Peal back the carpet, find and or make a hole in the firewall, run the wire, tape it down,
Your Done, a couple hours tops.

What I'm getting at is you should just do it yourself.

i dont even know where the alternator is, and it would be a bitch to take out the seats and drill holes in the firewall.

ah man i forgot to upload the pic. Either way there's a gigantic grommet on the driverside right by the gas pedal. i have both my power wires going thru there and could easily fit a third

and you know i can explain step by step how to do it if you wanted... But i know many people dont want to **** with it so i ultimatly could careless if you do it or pay a shop. Plus im putting someone else out of buisness so

You can get away with just the fuse box to the battery for now, then have someone else do the fuse box to alt and the the alt ground.

You just need to twist off the jumper post and then put the ring terminal (from the 0 guage) under the post when you screw it back on. Then piggy back it with the stock wire back to the battery (make sure the battery is disconnected when you do this of course).

Thats taking alot of the work out of it for someone else to do. Then if you pre make up the wires and have them get under the car to connect them to the alt it would only be a 10 min job (give or take).

i believe he means follow it. but the grommet it goes thru is a bitch to get to and its tapped up pretty good. I would just use the grommet above. assuming its the same in ur car (should be)

yea 2 yellows now

o and btw idk if i told you but with the 20sq ft of damp pro i only got the spare well, a little on the lid, like 1 piece on the deck lid and i covered the back part of the trunk under the lid. ill prob order a door pack soon and that should be enough to cover like 85-90%

spun

i tried what you said but im gunna have to leave it to the pros.

i saw the terminals on the fuse box, but i coudlnt see where they went. i looked by the pedals and couldnt find the power wire, and i would have to take out like EVERYTHING except the passanger seat to route the wire to the trunk

**** following the stock wire thats stupid unless u plan on taking the car apart (and i know u dont). hey ill take some pics for u when i run my some more wires if ud like. its not that difficult if you use the grommet i have pictured. you cant see or get to the stock wire easily in any way shape or form. It took me a few hours to swap that bullshit out and i know exactly how to do it. I seriously put it off for a few months simply bc i knew it would suck. and it did

i wouldnt really worry about it unless your putting a big system in...

but its basically upgrading the wire from the alternator to battery, battery to ground, and chassis to ground with 0g wire instead of the stock 4g

big 3 is bumping up 3 main wires in your electrical system BUT us cobalts have pretty decent wire stock so the effects are less then some older cars.

but the 3 wires are battery to ground, battery to alternator, alternator ground(engine ground is sometimes thrown in too). spun is the only one i know that has done it completely. ive done like 1.5

to run the wire from fuse box to battery did you have to take out any engine componets or did it just take forever to get around everything
