So I bought a amp for my pickup, and found a good deal so bought it before looking at it. I picked up the Plug and play harness and extension harness for my s-10 too, and want to know if anyone has worked with one yet? I am adding some 6x9 speakers to the bed of my truck and want to power them with this amp, Can you tell me if I can finagle the PnP harness to put a on off switch in line with it and instead of running the speaker output back into the stock harness, run it out to the other speakers and still power the inside ones with the head unit?
Any assistance would be apreciated. (I am almost positive that I can Fabricate something that will work, just want a little "yeah, sure, no problem, done that already...")

it really shouldnt matter. those T amps arent all that complicated they just have "rare" parts inside. Ive just never herd of a plug and play harness. Dont really see the point in that other then crazy CC installs (they are lazy)

Are the power and ground included in that harness too?

yep, I have a 10 awg power and ground in the harness, runs off the factory radio power...It's only about 8 ft, I really don't think it's going to make a difference in my setup. (I'm using it to power a pair of 6x9's in the bed of the truck for watching fireworks and sitting at the beach....I better get a new battery, (or maybe a second one, so she'll start after playing all night though)
I have no idea why I choose to go with the harness, I payed like 20 bucks for it, and it gives me nice ends every where, and I will be replaceing the whole thing (except for the amp) in a year or so anyway. I guess I didn't want to cut up the stock harness to get High inputs for a LOC that would have cost me as much as the harness..
Sonic is being slow this week, I hope it's here in a day or so. I installed everything but the amp.
I put in one of those "NOS" safety covered switches for it. (with the little plastic cover you have to flip up to turn it on) I don't want to accidentally turn it on at 3am on my way home...lol.
on a side note, does anyone know where to get a 12 volt switch that uses a Key to turn it to ON/off? (basicaly a safety switch,so no random turn ons)
Emp, I think it's set up for leased cars, You don't have to do anything with the harness at all, It routes the high inputs to the amp and the outputs from the amp back to the stock harness. Has power and ground included and wired into the factory harness too....easy install easy removal.

So I installed it today, works great. I ended up just putting the switch on the ignition line to the ammp and plugging that into the constant in on the amp. seems that if there is something plugged into the high input, when it senses signal on it it turns on, and then uses the remote line as a +12 volt switched out to turn on other amps or what have you. Everything else when just as planned. I have to get my amps for the interior in though, as I can't turn off the inside speakers with out turning off the outs. (insides are off the head unit) It seems that the amp doesn't pass lows very well on normal operation though, It has a low pass option and adjustments for high and low, but my 6x9's don't put out much of a low range when on standard output on the amp. (they do ok on Low pass though) Maybe it's the amp, or maybe it's the cheap 6x9's crossover, I will try a better speaker and see how it works, otherwise I may be finding a small Iglo cooler and install a Sub in it for the Bed..lol
