Bluetooth Handsfree Cell Phone Kit
I had always been looking for a wireless bluetooth hands free cell phone kit that would connect to the aux in on my head unit, and I finally found one, made by Scosche. I picked it up on ebay for only $35 shipped. Check it out here: http://scosche.com/scosche_bluetooth...22&ItemID=UBRH
It's stupid how they market it though, its a complete cell phone kit but they say "expansion" kit. Its very nice and very simple, it has a wired external mic with a button on it, RCA inputs, and simple power connections. When I get in the car and start it, the receiver turns on and the cell phone automatically connects to it.
Installation went pretty easy until I went to connect the output from the box to the aux in on my alpine deck. The alpine decks don't have a regular RCA in, they have their AI-net stuff, which I didn't realize. It needs an adapter to make it have regular RCA inputs. I ended up having to run out to a car stereo shop a half hour away to pick the stupid thing up, and the shop charged me $25 for it, and it's not even an Alpine piece! Pretty much doubled the cost of the install.
Anyway, enough bitching about that. It works perfectly. The only thing visible on the outside is the mic, see below for a pic. I'm planning on making a new clip for it (or bending the one that's there) because it sticks out too much the way it is.

Besides, the Alpine costs $200, and I picked this thing up for $35 shipped on Ebay. So given the cost difference, I probably would have gone with the Scosche even if I had known Alpine made one.
Thanks for the heads up.

I'd actually like to see a pic of the side airbags deployed so I know where they come down from, does anybody have one?
