Bluetooth Question

Bluetooth died on me, and I want to regain the bluetooth connectivity.

The radio only needs to be replaced correct? The radio has the bluetooth receiver right?

When I have the car on and running, I press the call / audio mute button and usually the radio would respond "Ready", but now this doesnt happen anymore when pressing the button. No audio response, just the radio showing the "audio mute"

Just need to know if the radio is the device who has the bluetooth receiver.

The radio doesn't have the bluetooth in it.

The BLUESTAR module is located in the parcel rack under the back window. Perhaps something came loose in there. Does your on star still work?

Alright,

So I feel sorta dumb, but I plugged the radio back in after having it out for about 3 hours and the bluetooth works again.

I did try the bluetooth before pulling it out so, there was definitely a problem. I still want to know more about the rear module that provides the bluetooth capability as there seems to be a problem that needed a hard reboot in order to resolve the issue.

Thanks again for the info either way!

More then likely unplugging everything reset something.

Bluetooth can be finicky. Sometimes just shutting off the car will fix it.
