I am in the market for another hid kit I currently own a buyhids kit but everyone talks up morimoto as the same quality as an oem kit are there any differences between the two besides price?

 

The morimoto kit is a much better kit imo. It costs more for a reason. It's the only aftermarket kit that I've seen that truly puts out a 35w output, most of them actually put out around 27-28w. They are extremely reliable and I've never seen a real problem with them in the more than 5 cars I've installed them in. They will last longer too, and are totally waterproof, even underwater. Well worth the money, I've seen comparisons where morimoto kits are noticeably brighter than other aftermarket kits, and the bulbs are all color matched and quality controlled to be the color they say they are.

 

Good to hear ill be ordering their kit I'll be sure to post pictures of the two kits I've also read the morimoto will have a more crisp cutoff and no hot spots in their bulbs

 

Im going to try and post some pictures tomorrow when its not raining but this kit is amazing with the quality. Bulbs fire as if they came from the factory great light output as they are actually an hid made for a halogen projector. If you are in the market for an hid kit spend the $$ on the morimoto you will not be disappointed!!
