cd player help

I had an alpine in my cavi and it worked fine, pulled it out and put it in the balt and the cd player didn't work it would play through the amp for my subs but no other speakers and the internal amp was on, radio function was just fine. I just figured the cd player went bad so I got a new sony player yesterday put it in today and the same thing. Just seeing if anyone has had the same problem.

did you get a new wiring harness because you cant just hook up an aftermarket player into the stock wiring harness

I have the cheep metra harness. The radio works and plays out of all the speakers but the cd player dose not. The factory unit works fine. This is the seccond radio in here now and both did the same thing. I think I may just run new wires from the radio to all the speakers. I have an alpine amp laying around here and I may just put that in. I was just wondering if anyone has run into this problem or not?

Ok, I feel stupid. I figured it out. I hooked the factory amp wire to the antenna remote turn on wire thinking it would stay on all the time. But when you turn off the radio and turn on the cd or bluetooth the antenna wire turns off. I used the antenna wire cause I have the other remote wire going to my amp and I know voltage is very important for an amp and running 2 amps off 1 remote wire is not a good thing, but oh well what can you do.

thanks bud, had the same problem, audio place thought the same thing, that was the only wire i didnt connect and it actually had an effect, so since i had already run a remote wire i should have tied into that instead of listening to the audio place and putting it with the antenna, this makes sense tho, i'll try it first thing when i get home
