Cheap iPod Setup (Pictures)

Here is a cheap little install of my iPod using the Griffin RoadTrip. It is just an FM Transmiter but it should hold me over till I have enough for the Pioneer Z1 unit. Also testing out the new camera.

That is the stock shifter. I am thinking about getting the TWM Short Throw. That is a 2.4 SS BTW.

It's because it's a 2.4 SS not a S/C SS

lol, it would be hard for me to be without the heated seats now, leather is damn cold in morning and those warmers kick in seconds, very quick.

As for the knob, I hate it. Too round. I look forward to the TWM shorty. I wish I knew someone that had a S/C so i can see if I like that knob better.

How come you have the ability to turn off your passenger Airbag? I don't even have that little lighted part that says passenger air bag and I have a cobalt with all the Air bags....

Nice looking setup for the Ipod, how does the FM transmitter sound?

That is because with the 2.4 SS with leather, the passenger air bag is activated when a passenger actually sits in the seat. But because there is no weight on the passenger seat, it recognizes that there is nobody in there, hence no point in turning on the air bag.

Looks pretty good. Does anybody know of a more permanent solution for iPods, or do you have to go with an aftermarket deck?

My old iTrip for my old 4g iPod went to station 87.9 which was perfect sounding, this new one for my new iPod starts at 88.1 which sucks. All the empty stations I do manage to find have a lot of background static.

I wish you could remove the XM from the stock deck and put an iPod in it's place because my XM is deactivated and useless.

Its the same setup with the cloth seats in the 2.4 SS, not just the leather.
