Cigarette Lighter Wiring

How many things can you wire to a single cigarette lighter before you start to blow fuses or cause other problems? Currently I have an interior light kit and underbody light kit wired to my cigarette lighter, both are LED. How much more do you guys think it can hold? I will probably have more projects that will involve wiring to the cigarette lighter.

Look at the fuse, that's how many amps you can draw.

10 amp? 20?

cig lighter is constant not switched...

but 10a is the fuse on the cig lighter. You can use up to that obviously without having issues however for the sake of cleanliness and safety it might be a better idea to hardwire and individually fuse some ****. Really the only thing you should be using the cig lighter for is temp or movable stuff.

I really need to read up on some wiring stuff. What other places can you wire off of? I was thinking wiring off of the dome lights if I wanted something to only turn on when the door is opened.

LEDS draw almost no power so you are fine. If you check the specs for the leds you are running I am sure you are drawing less than what you would on a single incandescent bulb.
I changed my maps lights to leds, and am running footwell led lighting as well as the dome lighting off the map light circuit with no problems. The bonus is my footwell lighting and dome light can be set to be constant on or fade with the map lights by using the switch on the dome. light

I've also switched my dome light to LED. It actually surprises me on how many compliments I get from it. My trunk lights have been switched to LED too.
